I, am a writer.

I am a writer who thinks he's funny.

Professional Demanor? Perish the thought!

In truth, I find talking about myself uncomfortable, which probably sounds rather odd for a portfolio website. There's a reason for that, but I'd prefer a quote from someone I find really annoying, myself!

Anyway, as previously stated, I am a writer by craft with a tenacious tendency for tenuously connected tangents to the topic at hand. I normally keep things lighthearted, often seeing large blocks of text, (Like this one!) as dry and uninviting, acknowledging the reader as a person that may or may not have much time on their hands.

Somebody once said I need to keep my tone 'professional' and 'respectful', in my professional and respectfully personal opinion, that's boring. Writing shouldn't (always) be prim and proper, with a freshly pressed suit and tie. Sometimes it should show up with dirt on it's face and a feather stuck in it's hair, smashed on a mix of wine and fruit juice. Whilst there certainly is a place for writing with a stiff upper lip, you'll be hard pressed to find much of it here. Then again, I like a good horror or action scene as much as the next guy!

Writing has always been my 'thing', but chances are I would've ended up in much a different place had it not been for a few, fortunate encounters deciding to foray into my existence and from that point, Writing became more than just a 'thing'.

It became a lonely point of pride, a rare thing for me, one skill I could resoundingly call 'Mine'.

As for other things that i've done, made or otherwise been involved in:

Ran several Lancer (TTRPG) Campaigns and created a few settings for them to take place in myself. (Can be found in the Portfolio tab, though they remain painfully unfinished.)
- In Addition, worked for a short time on a module called Lancer Tactica, which aimed to create a dynamic overworld conquest experience for the titular tabletop game, though this never saw completion.
Current Game Master (Senior Admin) and Community Manager for an online, open source game community.
I also dabble in Twine Interactive Fiction, Inkwriter and it's more powerful cousin Ink. I sometimes disturb the rotting corpse of Fungus too, though there are many more popular, documented and maintained options in it's place.

(I get it, honestly. I'm also without much time on my hands either.)
